Some companies enter a market. Dataminr put down roots in one.

For 12 years, the UK has been home to Dataminr’s European headquarters. We’re proud of our commitment to the UK and its Defence and National Security Establishment, with Dataminr keeping ever more service personnel safe, helping to further the national interest, and supporting our national decision-makers.

We are also privileged to play a role protecting the broader UK Government, critical national infrastructure, FTSE 100 companies, news organisations, and the charity sector.

Investing in UK Talent and Skills

The UK’s abundance of talent continues to drive Dataminr’s focus on hiring skilled professionals from local communities. Dataminr’s UK workforce now numbers more than 100, including veterans, former police officers, recent graduates, and former government employees. In addition to career opportunities that build on established expertise, these high-quality AI jobs foster the skills needed for the UK to remain competitive in the AI era, such as domain expertise, data science, and product management.

Even the product has UK roots. Dataminr AI isn’t built in Silicon Valley and then shipped through a UK postbox. In fact, critical parts of the product are built right in the UK. Every day, Dataminr AI experts work across the UK to develop a truly unique capability for NATO, the US Department of War, and more than twenty Allied Militaries across the globe.

Investing in the Local Community

Dataminr’s leadership believes deeply in social responsibility, encouraging employees to support the people and organisations that surround them. Employees receive paid time off to volunteer in their local community, including cleaning public parks, collecting money for charities, visiting patients with terminal illnesses, and mentoring children from underserved communities.

Supporting the Armed Services and UK Veterans

In 2022, Dataminr signed the UK Armed Forces Covenant and, in 2025, earned a Gold Award in the Defence Employers Recognition Scheme. As the highest level of recognition from the Ministry of Defence for support of the Armed Forces community, the Gold Award reflects Dataminr’s meaningful commitment to reservists, cadets, and the UK Defence.

The dedication to supporting employees who serve comes straight from the top: Dataminr’s Chief Product Officer and Regional EMEA Director are both reservists, balancing time in and out of uniform, to continue their military service. In recent years, Dataminr has supported reservists who have been mobilised for deployments overseas and taken part in numerous Allied exercises.

Dataminr’s Service Employee Resource Group connects former members of the Armed Forces and police who’ve joined Dataminr and provides a network to support transition from uniformed service to tech. Further, service in uniform means veterans settle all over the country. Thus, Dataminr provides remote working for almost all Dataminr roles in order to recruit and retain this rich pool of talent where they live.

Dataminr supports UK military sport and veteran adventurous endeavours across the globe through its work with Team Forces. Last year, Dataminr helped veteran triple amputee, Craig Wood, make an extraordinary solo sailing voyage across the Pacific Ocean.

Dataminr continues to be a proud contributor to the Ulysses Trust, supporting cadets in some of the more deprived parts of the UK, and fully behind the 2027 Invictus Games, to be held in Birmingham.
