Cross-domain threats are part of the expanding risk landscape, which refers to increasing risk across all domains of an organization—presented by high velocity, AI-powered threats, information overload, and organizational silos. This reality calls for organizations across all industries to have an increased awareness and understanding of cross-domain risk.
See below to learn more about the growing cross-domain threats and how to quickly identify and mitigate them.

The convergence of cyber and physical risks is the result of how interconnected our world is and will continue to be. There will be more Internet of Things (IoT) and Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT) devices. Industrial control systems (ICS) will become increasingly connected (and risky) and cyber-physical systems (CPS) will be more prevalent.

It’s important to note that while cross-domain risks include those related to CPS, they encompass much more. This is because cyber-physical systems are those that bridge the digital and physical worlds (e.g., self-driving cars, smart office buildings). Cross-domain threats are broader in nature and include threats that emanate in a physical-only or digital-only domain.
We don’t know exactly how cross-domain risk will evolve or its future impact, but we know enough to prepare now for what may come.
