After a monumental year as CFO at Dataminr, Nella Domenici has made the difficult decision to step down from her position to focus her attention on physical rehabilitation from a recent surgery. Nella has been a transformational company leader, and we could not be more grateful for her undivided commitment to our success and the high level of excellence she brought to Dataminr.
During her time at the company, Nella had an enormously positive impact, helping to accelerate the growth of our business, set our strategic direction, and build and empower a high-performing team. As CFO, Nella was instrumental in elevating Dataminr to the next level of executive and company performance across the teams she managed, including finance, legal, and real estate. In a very short period of time, Nella built out a world-class team that is now highly capable of supporting the company in all its essential strategic and capital markets initiatives as well as ongoing financial operations.
Nella and her team have helped to drive Dataminr’s most important strategic growth initiatives and critical transactions, including the recent series F financing of $475 million at a $4.1 billion valuation and the execution of Dataminr’s first acquisition, WatchKeeper, all of which contributed to building a strong foundation for future global growth. Nella recruited and managed an extraordinarily diverse and talented team with some of the highest professional satisfaction levels within the company. The team is highly motivated and continues to work tirelessly to support the next set of strategic company initiatives. I am also pleased to add that Nella has agreed to be retained to provide consulting services to Dataminr.
During this difficult COVID year, Nella has accomplished more than we could have expected and done so with excellence at each and every step of the way to the benefit of all of us at Dataminr and our shareholders. We’re a stronger organization because of her contributions, which have been foundational in helping drive our success today and for the long-term.
Speaking for all of us at Dataminr, we thank her deeply and know that she will achieve a speedy and full recovery.
