On June 1, 2023 a zero-day vulnerability discovered in Progress Software’s file transfer solution MOVEit Transfer began being actively exploited to exfiltrate corporate data from users.

On November 11, 2024, Dataminr alerted users about threat actors who had begun publishing data allegedly exfiltrated during the 2023 campaign by exploiting the MOVEit software vulnerability. Dataminr provided users with structured metadata from the event, enabling them to integrate it with other solutions and support response workflows and threat analysis.
