Follow @Dataminr to receive the earliest breaking information on major real-time threats to those on the ground.
During Hurricane Harvey, we saw first responders across the government use Dataminr's news alerts for first response as well as search and rescue efforts. Our first response clients relayed numerous instances of victims in Texas being rescued and taken out of harm's way as a result of the earliest awareness our real-time alerts provided.
As Hurricane Irma approaches, Dataminr is taking action to ensure local citizens, first responders, and search and rescue organizations have a way to receive alerts on major threats in real time.
It is our hope that these Dataminr Safety Alerts help get the word out about emerging situations that threaten the safety of local citizens, and also alert a broader set of first responders to situations where citizens need to be rescued.
You can help us out by sharing this link with any local citizen or first response organizations in the potentially affected areas. They can follow @Dataminr on Twitter for the earliest alerts on major threats related to the hurricane.
